This event will bring together professionals from the construction sector in London \u2014 architects, engineers, builders, property developers, timber manufacturers, public authorities, town planners, industry associations, LCA and sustainability experts, and AEC research institutions \u2014 to test, scrutinise and contribute to the development of the UTS system \u2013 timber floor slabs for multi-storey buildings, the project\u2019s main objective. \n<\/p>\n\n

UTS is a Horizon Europe (EIC Pathfinder) initiative led by the University of Stuttgart, in which BUILT CoLAB is participating, and which aims to develop a new structural system based on timber floor slabs as an alternative to conventional concrete, integrating computational design, engineering, acoustics and building physics, life-cycle and cost analysis, and AI- and BIM-based tools.
