{"id":11906,"date":"2025-11-05T12:27:01","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T12:27:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/builtcolab.pt\/the-c2o-construction-to-zero-final-conference-took-place-on-30-october\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T16:00:00","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T16:00:00","slug":"the-c2o-construction-to-zero-final-conference-took-place-on-30-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/builtcolab.pt\/en\/news\/the-c2o-construction-to-zero-final-conference-took-place-on-30-october\/","title":{"rendered":"The C2\u00d8 \u2013 Construction to Zero Final Conference took place on 30 October."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 30 October, Lisbon hosted the Final Conference of the C2\u00d8 \u2013 Construction to Zero project, the Decarbonisation Roadmap for the construction sector and associated industrial activities, which BUILT CoLAB has been supporting.<\/p>\n\n<p>At this event, which was attended by over 100 participants, the results obtained throughout the project were presented, with a main focus on the Roadmap, which compiles the work carried out by the team and the resulting proposals for each of the targeted CAEs &#8211; Manufacture of other carpentry works for construction; Manufacture of concrete products for construction; Manufacture of ready-mixed concrete; Manufacture of mortars; and Manufacture of bituminous mixtures.<\/p>\n\n<p>Vanessa Tavares, Head of Sustainability at BUILT CoLAB, spoke at the presentation of the project&#8217;s results, alongside the rest of the project&#8217;s technical team &#8211; Filomena Duarte (PTPC), F\u00e1tima Rato (ATIC), and Ana Mestre (3drivers) &#8211; who also discussed the main conclusions that will be included in the final Roadmap document.<\/p>\n\n<p>Jo\u00e3o Moutinho, Director of BUILT CoLAB, was also present for the presentation of the C2\u00d8 Excellence Award and honourable mentions (an initiative of which he was part of the jury), together with Maria Jo\u00e3o Falc\u00e3o (LNEC), president of the jury, and Ant\u00f3nio Lorena (3drivers), also a member of the jury.<\/p>\n\n<p>Winner of the C2\u00d8 Excellence Award<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Constru\u00e7\u00f5es Pragosa S.A (CAE 23991 \u2013 Fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de Misturas Betuminosas)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Honourable Mentions<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Secil Bet\u00e3o S.A (CAE 23630 \u2013 Fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de Bet\u00e3o Pronto)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pragosa Bet\u00e3o\/Concretope (CAE 23630 \u2013 Fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de Bet\u00e3o Pronto)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>At this event, it was also possible to watch the opening session speeches by the Deputy Secretary of State for Energy, Jean Barroca (remote, via video), Nuno Gon\u00e7alves (Vice-President of IAPMEI), Rita Moura (Chair of the Executive Committee of PTPC), Otmar H\u00fcbscher (Vice-President of ATIC) and Sandro Concei\u00e7\u00e3o (member of the ATIC Executive Board); the presentation by Jos\u00e9 Dinis Silvestre as Key Note Speaker; and the debate on the theme \u2018Decarbonisation Potential &#8211; Financing Opportunities\u2019, moderated by Cec\u00edlia Meireles (ATIC), with the participation of Ana Cristina Carrola (APA), Rodrigo Passos (IAPMEI) and Fernanda Ferreira Dias (Director General of DGAE).<\/p>\n\n<p>The presentations from the event can be viewed here, where all the final documents resulting from this project, including the Roadmap, will soon be published.<\/p>\n\n<p>C2\u00d8 \u2013 Construction to Zero is a joint project between PTPC \u2013 Portuguese Construction Technology Platform and ATIC \u2013 Portuguese Cement Association, with the support of 3drivers and BUILT CoLAB, and is co-financed by the European Union \u2013 NextGenerationEU, under the PRR \u2013 Recovery and Resilience Plan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 30 October, Lisbon hosted the Final Conference of the C2\u00d8 \u2013 Construction to Zero project, the Decarbonisation Roadmap for the construction sector and associated industrial activities, which BUILT CoLAB has been supporting.
