CRIARTE is a PT2030 R&D project that aims to transform the interaction between humans and machines in complex environments by combining advanced technologies such as mobile robotics, artificial intelligence, digital twins and augmented reality.
CRIARTE brings together a consortium of experts, including BUILT CoLAB, which aims to respond to the challenges of labour shortages and digitalisation in the sector, promoting safety, efficiency and sustainability.
Objectives
- Developing innovative solutions for human-robot collaboration
- Promoting sustainability and energy efficiency in the construction sector
- Integrating augmented reality technologies and digital twins into construction management and execution
- Creating new methodologies that increase safety and reduce operating costs
In this project, BUILT CoLAB will develop Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence tools to facilitate human-robot interaction and support the creation and automatic updating of the building/infrastructure’s Digital Twin, including the progress of construction and the site and the status of workers and robots – all duly synchronised with the project’s BIM model.
