Integrating the principles of the Circular Economy with digitalization, Artificial Intelligence and advanced manufacturing, ADAPT4CE’s mission is to transform the construction sector by reducing dependence on virgin materials, minimizing waste and ensuring sustainable, high-performance buildings.
Key Objectives:
- Digitalization of construction and deconstruction processes
- Smart materials and advanced manufacturing
- Blockchain and AI for enhanced sustainability
- Sustainable lifecycle management and policy integration
In this context, BUILT CoLAB’s work involves leading task 5.1, which aims to design a centralized digital platform that integrates BIM, databases and digital tools. The objetive is to develop a comprehensive system that supports the lifecycle management of construction projects, from initial conception to deconstruction, guaranteeing optimum use of resources and greater sustainability. It involves developing the architecture of a platform that combines BIM data with real-time knowledge provided by digital twins, enabling more accurate simulations, predictive maintenance and dynamic adaptation of construction projects to changing conditions.
In addition, BUILT CoLAB will support tasks involving the use of Augmented Reality technologies, with marker-based models and 3D point clouds, to support manual screening operations with real-time data overlays, as well as integrating benchmarking results into BIM platforms, ensuring that advanced manufacturing techniques are accurately represented and can be easily adopted by industry professionals.
