BUILT CoLAB has finalised its collaboration with Porto de Mós City Council, the main aim of which was to support the municipality in establishing an action plan for implementing the BIM methodology, which is essential in its digital transition process.
The work carried out by the BUILT CoLAB team over the several months of the partnership included:
- Definition of a Roadmap for BIM Implementation, with concrete actions for the evolution of the municipality’s BIM maturity level.
- Development of a BIM Implementation Plan, with specific actions and solutions to be adopted in various key pillars for the digital transition.
- Production of Contractual Documents, which ensure that the municipality, when requesting projects using BIM methodology, has a solid basis for demanding the appropriate information:
- EIR (Information Exchange Requirements) – basis for specifying the information that should be requested from suppliers in future BIM projects.
- IDS (Information Delivery Specification) files – allow automatic verification of the alphanumeric information produced by suppliers, guaranteeing the quality and conformity of the data delivered.
- Training actions that ensured the transfer of knowledge on the application of the BIM methodology to all those involved
With this collaboration, Porto de Mós City Council is preparing for the adoption of the BIM methodology, which is expected to be mandatory in the near future.
This partnership was an essential step towards the digitalisation of municipal services and urban management, preparing the municipality to respond to future challenges more efficiently. BUILT CoLAB is therefore available to collaborate with other municipalities to support their digital transition process. If you are interested, please contact us at info@builtcolab.pt.
