UBI Session Milan

🗣️ BUILT CoLAB is organising a UBI Session in Milan, an international validation workshop as part of the UTS – Universal Timber Slab project.

This event will bring together professionals from the construction ecosystem in Milan — architects, engineers, builders, property developers, timber manufacturers, public authorities, urban planners, industry associations, LCA and sustainability experts, and AEC research institutions — to test, scrutinise and contribute to the development of the UTS system – timber floor slabs for multi-storey buildings, the project’s main objective.

UTS is a Horizon Europe (EIC Pathfinder) initiative led by the University of Stuttgart, in which BUILT CoLAB is participating, and aims to develop a new structural system based on timber floor slabs as an alternative to conventional concrete, integrating computational design, engineering, acoustics and building physics, life-cycle and cost analysis, and AI- and BIM-based tools.
