In March, BUILT CoLAB began the second phase of its collaboration with Águas do Douro e Paiva, with the aim of digitising its hydraulic supply infrastructures, reinforcing the joint commitment to the digital transformation of the water and sanitation sector.
In this new phase, the focus remains on digitising critical assets – such as reservoirs, pumping stations and chlorination plants – based on BIM methodology.
The main objectives of this phase are:
- Continuing the digitisation process and refining existing BIM models;
- Explore the potential of integration with Digital Twins, allowing Águas do Douro e Paiva to assess the value and applicability of this technology for more efficient, predictive and connected management of its infrastructures in the future.
This new stage represents another strategic step in the modernisation of Águas do Douro e Paiva’s hydraulic asset management, positioning it as an example of innovation and sustainability in the sector.
BUILT CoLAB thus remains committed to developing and applying technology that enables the digitalisation of the Built Environment, making it more efficient and resilient.
Over the next few months we’ll be sharing the progress of this phase of the partnership here and on the other channels.
