BUILT CoLAB has completed its participation in the TARGET-X project, a European initiative co-funded by the Horizon Europe programme, which aims to accelerate digital transformation in strategic sectors such as construction, energy, the automotive industry and manufacturing.

Throughout the project, and in collaboration with WatchBuilt, BUILT CoLAB developed and tested an intelligent web platform for the automatic monitoring of construction progress and quality, integrating technologies such as 5G and openBIM, point clouds and Digital Twins, and Artificial Intelligence algorithms.

The finalised solution allows:

  • Monitor work progress in real time
  • Automatically detect geometric and construction deviations
  • Support site management and data-based decision-making

These developments have been validated and tested in a real environment at the 5G-Industry Campus Europe at RWTH Aachen University – Centre Construction Robotics, and have shown promising results for future application in operational contexts.

This participation in the TARGET-X project and collaboration with WatchBuilt reinforces BUILT CoLAB’s commitment to the digitalisation of the built environment, contributing with applied innovation to make the AEC sector more efficient, automated and resilient.
