BUILT CoLAB took part in Reality Capture Day 2024 on the theme of ‘The Role of 3D Reality Capture in Digital Transformation’, which was organised by Leyca Geosytems and took place on 22 October at IST in Lisbon.
Luís Jacques, from BUILT CoLAB, and Raquel Caetano, from Águas do Douro e Paiva, jointly presented the work being carried out in partnership by the two entities with the aim of digitising AdDP’s assets by modelling its water supply infrastructures using laser scanning/point modelling. This work is aimed at the future implementation of Digital Twins, to enable the monitoring and management of AdDP’s assets and support the optimised maintenance of critical network assets.
The Reality Capture Day event aimed to provide participants with a meeting point with other professionals and experts, allowing them to share ideas and find out the latest news on the subject. With this presentation, entitled ‘3D modelling of water supply infrastructures using laser scanners and point clouds’, BUILT CoLAB and AdDP contributed to the sharing of knowledge and demonstrated the practical application of a concrete case to all those present.
