BUILT CoLAB, represented by Leonor Santos, attended the Conference and Matchmaking “Business Cooperation and the European Green Deal” organised by Innovation Norway, in partnership with the Directorate-General for Maritime Policy (DGPM) and the Secretariat-General for the Environment (SGA), which took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 4 and 5 June.
The aim of the event was to discuss business possibilities within the scope of the European Green Deal. It was attended by stakeholders from 12 European countries and around 150 participants, with Portugal represented by 9 organisations (including BUILT CoLAB) and 2 speakers in the thematic sessions: Digitalisation of the Sustainable Blue Economy and Hydrogen for the Decarbonisation of Transport.
BUILT CoLAB was one of the organisations that took part in the matchmaking meetings between participants that included companies, clusters, researchers, policymakers, representatives of the main innovation agencies and other stakeholders from the various European countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Slovakia. The Portuguese organisations, Viva Lab, Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Enhídrica, Itecons, Escola Náutica Infante D. Henrique, BUILT CoLAB, Atronia, Neutroplast and AVOS – Added Value Offshore Systems, had the opportunity to establish various contacts and we look forward to future partnerships.
At the end of the two days, this group of organisations was able to contribute to achieving the objectives set out in the European Green Deal, as well as identifying the challenges for business cooperation in green solutions, exploring the best way to cooperate in green business solutions and creating synergies between the EEA and Norway Grants and European and national funding programmes.
