To this end, B4PIC is made up of one or more local or regional clusters, such as BUILT CoLAB in Portugal, and is supported and monitored by Built4People partners, including the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP) and the World Green Building Council (WGBC).
- Integrate the entire value chain: integrate as many different types of stakeholders as possible from the entire Built Environment innovation value chain.
- Be multi-objective: various B4P objectives as well as NEB principles;
- Cross-sectoral in nature: integration of different industrial sectors, whose members may be transdisciplinary;
- Locally rooted with national and European reach: linking a local territory with networks at national level.
- Being cross-border: interconnecting with clusters in other regions or member states, establishing and promoting interregional activities between two clusters operating in two different markets or local economies.
- Giving access to testbeds and demonstration spaces: integrating and connecting to testbeds, pilot buildings, living labs or other facilities to demonstrate innovations and facilitate market uptake.
