Currently, the design projects are getting more complex, and the number of elements and different components tends to increase. This leads to growing construction costs, which can be optimized.
Based on parametric computing and design, as well as BIM methodology, OPTIMIZE will provide a set of tools to optimize construction and reduce the number of different parts, without losing aesthetics and functionality. This IIG will boost the work already carried out by the IST Group led by Prof. António Leitão.
