The 12th Strategic Forum of PTPC/Cluster AEC took place on December 12, on the theme of “THE RIGHT TO safe, resilient and sustainable HOUSING”, with the aim of promoting reflection on climate resilience, seismic safety, affordable costs and streamlining public policies.
The event featured João Moutinho, director of BUILT CoLAB, as moderator of the debate “Contributions of the AEC Cluster to streamlining public policies”, which was attended by Filipa Roseta, from Lisbon City Council, Fernando Santo, from CIP, António Miguel Castro, from Gaiurb, and Filipa Serpa, from IRHU – Instituto da Habitação e Reabilitação Urbana.
This was a moment of discussion of great relevance to the event, which included diverse and complementary points of view from the speakers, who made various suggestions for streamlining public policies, stemming from their vast experience and holistic view of the issue, and complemented by the participation of the audience, which greatly contributed to the success of the debate.
The event took place at LNEC and was officially opened by the Secretary of State for Housing, Maria Fernanda Rodrigues, together with Laura Caldeira, President of LNEC, Rita Moura and Luís Gomes from PTPC/Cluster AEC. João Gonçalves from Housing Europe – The European Federation of Public, Cooperative & Social Housing also spoke on the subject of “Climate resilience and seismic safety: industrialization and new construction paradigms”, and Fernando Pinho presented the Rehabilitation Manual.
