BUILT COLAB co-organized with WATER CO-RE COLAB the thematic session “The Water-Energy Nexus at the heart of environmental sustainability”, which took place during the Science 2023 Meeting, held in Aveiro on July 6 and 7.
The session sought to put into perspective and debate the importance of promoting a digital and environmental transition of the critical infrastructures and supply chains of the sectors involved, with a view to strategically increasing their resilience, sustainability and adaptability to face modern times, where the challenges related to scarcity and climate change are becoming increasingly evident.
João Poças Martins and Marco Pedroso from BUILT CoLAB, Carlos Oliveira and Jaime Gabriel Silva from Water Co-Re CoLAB took part in the debate, which was moderated by Catarina Tuna from Águas e Energia do Porto.
Science 2023 is the annual meeting dedicated to science, technology and innovation in Portugal. This year, for the first time, it focused on a single theme: Science and the Ocean beyond the Horizon. The discussion focused on productivity and the development of greener products, the promotion of bluer economies and the health of the ocean ecosystem.
