BUILT CoLAB is starting to develop its tasks in the Mobilizing Agenda “Sustainable Stone by Portugal”, in which it participates.
This Agenda aims to leverage the work that has been done in the Natural Stone Sector to create a new generation of highly disruptive and innovative products and production processes that will strengthen the sector’s ability to grow internationally, thus contributing to the growth and consolidation of the sector as a strategic factor in the sustainable development of the Portuguese economy. More specifically, it aims to develop and implement a new ecosystem of specialization, with international projection, which will enable the effective use of technological knowledge, implementing the industrial processes necessary for a digital and sustainable transition, using new products, technologies and techniques with a markedly sustainable nature.
BUILT CoLAB’s participation in this project, and that of its Members from a collaborative perspective, is therefore very important, as part of its work on the digitization and sustainability of the built environment, with a focus on BIM and on training municipalities (specifically the Municipality of Porto de Mós) and the natural stone industry (primarily through its project partners).
The Agenda “Sustainable Stone by Portugal – Valorization of Natural Stone for a digital, sustainable and qualified future” involves 50 entities and is led by Solancis – Sociedade Exploradora de Pedreiras, S.A., with an overall investment of EUR 55,760,917.17 financed under the PRR – https://recuperarportugal.gov.pt/.
