BUILT CoLAB launches a partnership with Águas e Energia do Porto for BIM implementation, including a training session for staff

implementação bim AEdP

In January, BUILT CoLAB began a collaboration with Águas e Energia do Porto (AEdP) with the aim of supporting the organisation in adopting new information technologies and integrating BIM methodology into its workflows.

Over the coming months, BUILT CoLAB will therefore be rolling out a series of initiatives that will enable AEdP to achieve its objectives:

➡️ Introductory training on BIM methodology and Autodesk Revit

➡️ Delivery of workshops, maturity assessments, definition of an action roadmap, strategic plan and implementation plan for the BIM methodology

➡️ Development of technical documentation to support the BIM methodology

It was against this backdrop that the first training session for AEdP staff took place on 23 February. The session covered the basics and fundamentals of BIM methodology and its impact on the AECO sector, as well as the topics of collaboration and interoperability, with particular reference to openBIM and its importance in process integration.

The aim was therefore to provide staff with the fundamental building blocks for understanding the general concepts associated with BIM methodology, enabling AEdP to prepare the organisation for a future in which BIM will play an increasingly central role in the management and operation of its assets.

This collaboration therefore represents an important step in AEdP’s digital transformation, laying solid foundations for more efficient information management.

Over the coming months, we will be sharing updates on this partnership via our communication channels. Stay tuned!
