PTPC – Portuguese Construction Technological Platform, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, and 3Drivers, BUILT CoLAB’s associates, are the partners of the Circular Buildings project promoted by SmartWaste and funded by EEA Grants.
This project aims to develop decision support tools to promote increased reuse of materials and reduction in waste production in the construction sector.
The Construction sector usually has an intensive use of primary resources, low material productivity, and a low level of circularity. Therefore, it is necessary that the agents involved know the material composition of the stock of buildings and material flows to enable the paradigm shift.
