The Conference “The Digital Construction Revolution in Portugal” was held on June 27, marking the end of the REV@CONSTRUCTION Mobilizer, a project with the participation of BUILT CoLAB.
During the session, the main people responsible for the work carried out throughout the project – Francisco Reis and João Ribeiro (BIMMS), António Aguiar Costa (IST), Luís Guardão and Nuno Abreu (INESC TEC), Joao Vaz da Silva (3Maps), Paula Couto, Rodrigo Lima and Vânia Marecos (LNEC), Joel Oliveira (UMinho), Noel Leitão (TDGI) – had the opportunity to present their main results to an audience of representatives from the AEC sector.
The event was held in the Mariano Gago Auditorium at the Pavilion of Knowledge in Lisbon, and was opened by Sílvia Garcia from ANI, and included speeches by João Moutinho, João Poças Martins, Pedro Lucas Martins and Lurdes Laranjeira from BUILT CoLAB on the research and development activities carried out in the project, as well as the communication activities relating to PPS5.
At the end there was also a debate between various industry and project representatives to discuss the advantages of REV@CONSTRUCTION for the future of the AEC sector in Portugal, as well as the evolution of Digital Construction in the coming years – Francisco Reis (BIMMS), Laura Caldeira (LNEC), Luís Gomes (Mota-Engil), Rita Moura (Teixeira Duarte) and Sérgio Laranjeira (Casais Group).
The closing speech was given by Manuel Maria Teixeira Duarte, Chairman of the Board of Teixeira Duarte, the project’s leader.
