Luís Sanhudo, Head of Digital Transformation at BUILT CoLAB, gave a lecture at the BIM A+ international master’s degree course at the University of Minho, as part of Course Unit 3 ‘Parametric Modelling in BIM’.
At the invitation of Bruno Figueiredo, coordinator of this CU, Luís Sanhudo presented several BUILT CoLAB developments that demonstrate how to cross the implementation of computational processes with BIM, one of the objectives of this course:
- using point clouds for scan-to-BIM
- creating digital twins, connecting to IoT data and analysing this data intuitively
- the integration of AI into various facets and processes of the AEC sector
- the use of immersive technologies such as VR and AR to interact with BIM models
We would like to thank Prof Bruno Figueiredo and BIM A+ at the University of Minho for inviting us and for the opportunity to show us in an academic context the development work that has been carried out at BUILT CoLAB and which contributes to the digital transition of the AEC sector.
