Marco Pedroso and Vanessa Tavares, from BUILT CoLAB, took part in the first workshop of the COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) action “CircularB – Implementation of Circular Economy in the Built Environment”, which took place in Skopje, North Macedonia, between April 26 and 28.
The event brought together experts from various fields around the theme “Creating a Roadmap towards Circularity in the Built Environment”, debating a series of topics related to Sustainability and the Circular Economy in the built environment.
Both Marco Pedroso and Vanessa Tavares presented work they had done previously as part of PACCO – Action Plan for Circularity in Construction. Their contributions provided an opportunity to share the knowledge acquired in drawing up this plan, promoting discussion on different strategies to be adopted for implementing circularity in the construction sector.
A COST action is an interdisciplinary research network that brings together researchers and innovators to investigate a topic of their choice for 4 years. COST actions are usually made up of researchers from academia, SMEs, public institutions and other relevant organizations or stakeholders.
This COST action, with its high networking potential, makes us excited about the future collaborations that will be created with other national and international entities.
