The plenary meeting of CT197 BIM, the Technical Committee for Standardisation of Building Information Modelling, which is coordinated by BUILT CoLAB as the ONS – Sector Standardisation Body – was held on 20 March 2025.
At this meeting, CT197 members learned about the group’s progress and efforts in standardising the BIM methodology and also elected its new President.
In the voting process, Paula Couto, from LNEC, was elected president of CT197, and will thus lead and manage this Technical Commission for the next three years, continuing the work of standardising and boosting the BIM methodology.
Special thanks to António Aguiar Costa, who is stepping down, for his commitment and dedication during his time as president. His contribution was fundamental to the advancement of various standards that will soon be published, positively impacting the sector.
Main points on the agenda for this meeting:
– Review of the state of play of the work carried out;
– Vote on the translation of EN ISO 22014:2024;
– Election of the new President of CT197-BIM;
– Approval of new members;
– Appointment of experts to international working groups;
– Other matters.
