Winners of the 2022 Sustainability in the Built Environment Award announced

Vencedores do Premio Sustentabilidade no Ambiente Construido

The winners of the Sustainability in the Built Environment Award, an initiative of BUILT CoLAB under the Circularity in Construction project, were announced on 26 January 2023.

This award aimed to promote and recognise good practices, as well as raise awareness in the industry and public institutions of the need for knowledge and innovation within the scope of sustainability and circularity in the Built Environment.

And the winners were:

Projeto de utilização de betume modificado com borracha (BB) em misturas betuminosas.

It should be recalled that the jury that evaluated the applications was composed of representatives of leading institutions on the subject in Portugal and that have contributed to its implementation and evolution at national level: Fernando de Almeida Santos, President of the Order of Engineers, Paula Santos, Vice-President of the Order of Architects , Ana Cristina Carrola, Member of the Board of Directors of APA, Fernando Batista, President of IMPIC, Cristina Cardoso, representing AICCOPN, Laura Caldeira, President of LNEC, Pedro Arezes, Executive Director of the Engineering Schools Consortium, Luís Gomes, Vice-President of PATPC/Cluster AEC, and Rita Moura, President of BUILT CoLAB(President of the Jury).

BUILT CoLAB thanks all competitors for their participation, and hopes with this initiative to demonstrate to the AEC Sector that many companies are making a significant contribution to the implementation of good practices in terms of sustainability and circularity in the built environment.

The winners announcement and awards ceremony took place at IMPIC, on the sidelines of the Presentation Session of PACCO – Action Plan for Circularity in Construction.
