BUILT CoLAB attended the European Young Engineers (EYE), international conference that took place between 05 and 08 May at the headquarters of the Ordem dos Engenheiros in Lisbon.
Marco Pedroso, Head of Sustainability of BUILT CoLAB, was one of the invited speakers in Panel 1, which had as theme “How to take into account the environmental impact of my work – Engineering innovations”, having made a presentation entitled “Twin transition as a driver for innovation in the construction industry”. The panel of speakers was moderated by the President of the Northern Region of the Order of Engineers, Bento Aires, and included the participation of Ondina Afonso from SONAE MC, Miguel Marques from EDP NEW, João Figueiredo and João Campos da Silva from Infraestruturas de Portugal.
This is the first EYE Conference held in person since the beginning of the pandemic and brought together more than 200 young engineers from all over Europe in Lisbon, at the Ordem dos Engenheiros, with the aim of discussing: “A highway to sustainability”. In this event, organized by the Young Engineers Group (GJE) of the OE, in partnership with the European Young Engineers (EYE) association, young European engineers participated in several events (from technical visits, to workshops, various debates and panel discussions) with the aim of discussing how engineering can contribute to greater global sustainability.
