BUILT CoLAB and APA – Portuguese Environment Agency co-organized yesterday a Capacity Building Action in the scope of the Circular Agreement with the Construction Industry, dedicated to the topic “Construction and demolition waste management: what has changed? What is new?”.
This Training Action aimed to support the application of the new regulations and promote a more circular management of construction waste, given the recent amendment of the General Waste Management Regime.
To this end, Patrícia Teixeira, Mafalda Mota and Ana Teixeira from APA addressed the main aspects for compliance with the legal framework, the relevant changes compared to the previous regime, the applicable concepts and also the reporting obligations.
This was followed by a Q&A session in which the participants had the opportunity to ask their main questions, a session moderated by Rodrigo Gonçalves, Director of the Waste Department of APA.
We recall that this initiative took place under the Circular Agreement with the Construction Industry, the Collaboration Protocol between BUILT CoLAB, the Ministry for the Environment and Climate Action and the Environmental Fund, with the participation of APA – Portuguese Environment Agency, and which also has as partner entities the Confederation of Portuguese Industry (CIP) CPCI – Portuguese Confederation of Construction and Real Estate, AICCOPN – Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industries, AECOPS – Association of Construction and Public Works and Services Companies, PTPC – Portuguese Technological Platform for Construction, and IMPIC – Institute for Public Markets, Real Estate and Construction, I.
