BUILT CoLAB and APA – Portuguese Environment Agency, together with LNEC, co-organized the face-to-face Capacity Building Action in Lisbon, in the scope of the Circular Agreement with the Construction Industry, dedicated to the topic “Construction and demolition waste management: what has changed? What’s new?”.

This Training Action aimed to support the application of the new regulations and promote a more circular management of construction waste, given the recent amendment of the General Waste Management Regime.

To this end, Maria de Lurdes Antunes from LNEC addressed the topic of Technical Specifications for the Recovery of Construction and Demolition Waste, and Patrícia Teixeira and Rodrigo Gonçalves from APA spoke about the main aspects of compliance with the legal framework, the relevant changes compared to the previous regime, the applicable concepts, and also the reporting obligations.

This was followed by a Q&A session in which participants had the opportunity to ask their main questions, a session moderated by Rodrigo Gonçalves and Paulo Fonseca from BUILT CoLAB.

This session was not recorded. Therefore, if you did not have the opportunity to attend, but want to deepen your knowledge on the subject, you can watch here a Capacity Building Action that took place on 08 February, dedicated to the same subject and with the participation of the same APA speakers.

We recall that this initiative took place within the scope of the Circular Agreement with the Construction Industry, the Collaboration Protocol promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Action, between BUILT CoLAB and the Environmental Fund, with the participation of APA – Portuguese Environment Agency -, and which also has CIP – Portuguese Business Confederation – as partner entities, CPCI – Portuguese Confederation of Construction and Real Estate -, AICCOPN – Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industries -, AECOPS – Association of Construction and Public Works and Services Companies -, PTPC – Portuguese Technological Platform for Construction -, and IMPIC – Institute of Public Markets, Real Estate and Construction, I.
