April was a month of a lot of work and applications at BUILT CoLAB. But if we have to highlight, the applications for the phase II of the Mobilising Agendas for Business Innovation were undoubtedly the most difficult and important for the future of Construction in Portugal. Through these applications a set of activities is proposed that may contribute in a very significant way to the Twin Transition of Construction.

In the Innovation Pact “Re-BUILT”, BUILT CoLAB takes a leading role in supporting the consortium leader companies (the largest construction companies) in terms of project coordination and in leading work packages that are fundamental for the future of Construction. In this Innovation Pact, 26 co-promoters, of the most varied types, sizes and responsibilities, promise to revolutionise Construction by making it more sustainable, more efficient and more digital. This agenda will aim to develop and launch in the market 35 new products, services and solutions by 2025 that aim to boost the reindustrialisation process and the innovation of the supply in the Construction sector in Portugal, namely through concrete prefabrication, modular construction, additive manufacturing, innovation in construction processes and efficient asset management.

In the mobilising project “Sustainable Stone by Portugal”, a mobilising agenda with 53 co-promoters and with a strong representation of the Natural Stone industry, BUILT CoLAB’s challenge is to support the Digitalisation of the Industry with BIM methodologies and with the connection to the Construction market. This connection is of enormous relevance given the importance that materials assume in the Construction sector and in particular in environmental sustainability.

This is how BUILT CoLAB hopes to fulfil its mission, integrating extremely worthy applications that promise to revolutionise the Construction sector.
